(Dan Tri) – After the upgraded version of the Mazda CX-5 was set at a price that could be considered `disrupting` the market, many products in the same C-SUV segment were forced to join the trend to compete.
Due to the economic recession, consumer consumption has dropped sharply, causing car manufacturers and dealers to continuously launch incentives to stimulate demand.
This trend started with the Mazda CX-5.
In November, some mid-range versions of the Mazda CX-5 increased their prices by 5 million VND, still keeping the price fluctuating between 749-999 million VND (Photo: Thaco).
Mazda CX-5 has leading sales in the C-SUV segment.
Strong discounts become a trend
After the Mazda CX-5, Thaco adjusted the suggested retail price of the Kia Sportage in early September, reducing it by 60-90 million VND depending on the version.

The price reduction of Mazda CX-5 and Kia Sportage created a trend in the C-size SUV segment. In October, TC Motor suddenly adjusted the suggested retail price of Hyundai Tucson, reducing it by 76-191 million VND depending on the version.

Haval H6 HEV in November continues to be discounted up to 244 million VND at the dealer, lowering the price to 852 million VND and comes with a service card worth 50 million VND.

New measuring stick for the Vietnamese car industry
Although many competitors have joined the price reduction trend, making the CX-5 no longer have a huge advantage, Mazda’s flagship still receives the favor of many users.
Even the CX-5 is often considered by users in terms of price compared to products in other segments.
