Russia attacked aggressively on all fronts
Geroman channel reported that the strategy of Russian forces has not changed – it has only strengthened – the Russian army is attacking all areas along the more than 1,000km long front line.
That difficult situation forced the Ukrainian army to send reserve troops to most regions.
Russia will likely apply the tactic of attrition for another 2 or 3 months until the enemy’s losses are large enough, at which point Moscow will conduct a `major attack on a number of key spearheads` to push its forces
According to RVvoenkory channel, in addition to the breakthroughs in Avdiivka, on January 20, Russian forces led by the 1st Tank Army took control of the village of Krakhmalnoye in the Kharkov region.
`Northwest and southwest of Vladimirovka, Russian troops attacked in the direction of Tabaevka and Krakhmalny. According to preliminary information, Russian infantry entered several forest belts west of the railway,` Ukrainian sources confirmed.

Ukraine will launch a new counteroffensive in Melitopol in 2025
CNN quoted a representative of the US military in Europe as saying that an attempt to carry out a major counteroffensive by Ukraine to separate the Russian army in the Melitopol area in the south of the country could happen at least 2 years ago.
According to US and Western officials, Ukraine is `too depleted in terms of troops and equipment to expect large-scale action in 2024`.
The Ukrainian military is discussing that 2025 is `more realistic, when they can prepare a new offensive`, the military official said.
British Ministry of Defense: Poor Russian training and coordination may limit attack capabilities in Kherson
Kyiv Independent reported that poor training and coordination of Russian troops stationed on the east bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region could prevent them from dislodging Ukrainian forces from the area, reported the British Ministry of Defense on June 20.
After a series of military operations on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River held by Russian troops since the start of the conflict, Ukrainian forces have established a foothold in the area, continuing to repel Russian attacks
`Russia’s Dneeper (Russian name for the Dnipro River) group of forces have been unsuccessful in all attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders, although they almost certainly have a significant advantage in the balance of forces above
