Russia attacked 30,000 times in 3 months, Ukraine strained to fight back 0
(Dan Tri) – Kiev said Russia has raided Ukrainian territory more than 30,000 times in 3 months and Moscow may launch a new counterattack at the end of May or early June.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, told Politico on April 5 that Russia could launch a new counterattack in late May or early June, most likely targeting Kharkov.
Russia has recently stepped up attacks on Kharkiv amid warnings of a potential attack on Ukraine’s second-largest city, Russia’s independent media outlet Meduza said, citing unnamed sources.
However, Ukrainian military intelligence called the potential attack on Kharkov `part of Russia’s psychological warfare`.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi also said that any Russian attempt to soon gain control of Kharkov could `cause loss` of life, but he did not rule out this scenario.
According to Mr. Yermak, Ukraine knows that Russia is preparing a new round of military recruitment and that Kiev forces `must be ready` for new attacks.
Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, is located more than 30km south of the Russian border.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine also said that `Kiev is approaching a critical moment`, referring to the aid package stalled in the US Congress.
Mr. Yermak hopes the aid package will be approved by the US Congress `this month` as Ukrainian forces continue to face a serious shortage of ammunition on the front lines.
Mr. Yermak also said Ukraine still needs additional air defense systems.
`Without them (modern air defense systems), we cannot protect our cities,` Mr. Yermak emphasized.
As Russia stepped up its attacks on Ukraine during the spring, the lack of air defense systems in Ukrainian cities and villages became more apparent.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia is believed to have launched more than 400 missiles of all types, 600 Shahed drones and 3,000 guided bombs into Ukraine in March, causing serious damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Oleksii Serhiieev, Russia has raided Ukrainian territory more than 30,000 times since the beginning of the year.
Mr. Serhiieev said that the number of Russian raids on Ukraine in the past three months was almost half the number of raids recorded in 2023.
`This year, in February and March, the number of raids increased,` Mr. Serhiieev confirmed.
Russian forces have repeatedly targeted critical infrastructure across Ukraine, including buildings, residential areas and energy infrastructure.
According to experts, Russia’s target is not only aimed at Ukraine’s energy system, but also a psychological blow to the people because electricity and heating systems are essential services.
In addition, Russia’s increased large-scale attacks also have the goal of exhausting Ukraine’s air defense system, in the context that Kiev is facing trickle aid packages from the West.
